Heading to St. Lucia in May, anyone have any recommendations for a good hotel/resort? Any other useful tidbits about the island would be appreciated as well.

Went there a few years ago and stayed at Sandals Grande. Which was nice but I was on my honeymoon. I would reccomend a tour of the island. It is beautiful. If you go to the marketplace you can barter with the cab drivers on price.

You have to stay in a resort St Luica is not the nicest place in the world. Try and stay at this may sound strange but a Sandals. Not to pricey. But everyone there willl probably be on there honeymoon.

Stayed with the wife at Sandal's Grande; pretty nice place, lotsa honeymooners and couples. Took a "tour" that involved sailing on a large catamaran down the coast to see the Pitons and the inactive volcano. Wanted to get out and see the island, at least do a rainforest tour, but didn't get the chance. Didn't feel like I overspent for what I got.
