hey folks,

I would appreciate any info on the content of the Spirit interview. Not so many gouges out there.........and I already checked aviationinterviews.com or willflyforfood.

Thank you

I dont work there, but know of a guy that just got hired. Seems the questions they asked were typical. They were hard on WHY he wanted to work there and how do they know hes not going to leave in a short time, guess people are not showing up for class or are leaving once they get their type.

My buddy who flies there said they recently had 12 scheduled for an interview, but 3 showed up? Or was that for a class...don't remember. I hear things are getting a little tight on the FO side now; not many reserves. I hope it gets better for you guys.

That's what happens when mgmt decides to close a base just to prove a point, hoping the DTW pilots will agree to a Satellite base...

...then stand strong as a union and say no, go ahead and close it then, we would rather commute (or find other jobs) than agree to a Sat Base TA during negotiations.

They still planning on closing it? I heard they put the 30+ back to DTW.

Is Spirit a place worth going to? I am currently a regional captain making $65/hour. I like Fort Lauderdale a lot and would be extremely happy down there. How are the work rules at Spirit? How many days off do you get per month?

I just got a call as well. Haven't called back yet. I think the QOL is very similar to a regional (CHQ in my case). I have heard that training is very disorganized...

Having flown for CHQ before working at Spirit...I can assure you that the former Taco Bell manager and non pilot Larry B who runs CHQ's training department doesn't come close in terms of quality of instruction, standardization, training for international destinations, quality of material, presentation...all the areas of training.

As for quality of life...which CHQ do you work for? Min days off for reserve is 12 or 13 depending on the month...as a halfway up the list CA at CHQ I was getting 12 days off as a line holder.

So, is it good over there? Not sure what you are saying... I had 18 days off as a top 25% captain on the CO CRJ two months ago and 14 next month. Go figure...???

I heard about your training department from a guy going through training that came from CHQ...
