Applied a few weks ago. Not "highly" qualified but made the motion to start a file. I've followed Spirit for a few years and have notable confidence in their future and their niche to the market. I find them a good fit to my personal career ambitions and have continually heard good feedback regarding their working envorinments and employee morale. I have considered simply jumpseating on a handful of flights to meet with the crews and try to develop some internal relationships for reccomendations. If there is any help anyone is willing to provide please PM me.

Hey Brick Top,
I was in a similar situation in that I have interest in working with Spirit however I do not have any internal references going to bat for me. I decided to ride the jump so I can talk to the crews and better gauge the operation and see if it would be right for me. I highly recommend you do the same...
However, Do not expect to find anyone offering to walk your stuff in for you. A reference is generally reserved for people who can vouch for both you both as a pilot and an individual. It was worthwhile, however to talk to the people who work at Spirit and get some first-hand info instead of going off what you read on the internet. Everyone I have met has been extremely pleasant and helpful.
**Side note, has anyone been called for an interview in the past couple of weeks? The info I have gathered indicated that it takes about a month from the time you fill out the second, "big application" to get an offer to interview. However, myself and a few co-workers filled out the second packet back in December and are still waiting, fingers crossed! Do we have reason to hope for a phone call or does it look like we might have been passed over for whatever reason. Thanks and sorry for the thread drift...

These Spirit job fairs must be very secretive. I've been trying to find out when they are for months. Any one know how I can go about finding out when and where one is? Can't find any phone numbers or emails except for reserviations.

The last Spirit job fair was in October. They advertised it on their website about 2-3 weeks prior, and some local press coverage also advertised it.
