Maintenance will give you speed tape. ASA maintenance guys will also repair the handle of your flight bag with safety wire if you bring your hot FA with you.
Or so I have heard.

Flight bags are supposed to look worn. I personally dragged mine behind my car for 100 miles when I first bought it, kind of like my jeans in the 1980's.

No kidding...whats up with the guys that still wear those things since they've not required? I've noticed quite a few that do wear the hat are bald so I guess there are just some insecurity issues.
