FWIW, my experience with complying with the airport qualification for "special Airports" was simply to look at the picture pages in our Jeppesen manual.

Better late than never.

I was reading the FAA's Instrument Procedures Handbook and came across "special airports". Page 4-24 shows KEYW listed as having "lake effect upon thermals on short final to 4,800ft runway".

Something about part 119 certificate holders operating under 121.443.
