I have interviews with both next week! I heard Southwest is good now, but how long will that last? I'm thinking Mesa is a better choice.

What?! I'm going to give you the benefit of a doubt that you are joking. If you are not, I pray that Southwest doesn't hire you. With an attitude like that you would be lucky to get hired at Mesa.

Consider yourself lucky for southwest to even call you for an interview unless you are an ex military pilot.

Sniff Sniff....I smell smoke......where theres smoke theres a fire.....

Ahhhhhhhhh.................Flame Bait

You've got to be kidding, right? No disrespect meant, but, unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade, this is a no brainer choice. Some regional pilots wait their entire career for a shot like this. Don't blow it now by going to some BS, Mickey Mouse outfit like Mesa. Trust me, you'd hate yourself after the novelty wore off. Southwest treats their pilots like gold compared to Messup. BTW, who cares on upgrades. In a few years, you'll be making more $$ slinging the gear on a seven three than babysitting in the left seat at Mesa. Who cares where you sit. You pay me enough, I'll fly a kite! Remember, its all about money and days off. I hope you make the right choice.

By just looking at your profile , im sure you meant Skywest.....right??.
If you did ..then Ill have to say Skywest.

he probably has offers with neither. he just keeps finding new creative ways to sucker people in each week

Well, it was either Southwest or that Concorde job.... but I like my 310 to much to just give it all up and have to move agian.... I say stick with Mesa, much better outfit. You can make captian there in like 3 or 4 weeks. Not to mention that with only 19 people in the back, you don't have to worry about FA's compaining, or have to worry about going around weather, because your never going to go around it (too slow) or over it (can't climb that high). You'll also have much better IFR skills flying that mighty 1900 with no autopilot.

I think it's a no-brainer. I think anybody going to southwest must just be trying to build time to get into an outfit like Mesa.

I hear there is a school somewhere to help you get on there, but I don't know much about it. I think buying your job would be a great way to get on there and earn the respect of the people you fly with.

That's my advise.....

Gawd I love the f'in knobs that think posts like these are real. Like you guys are trying to be everyone's 'best friend' and give 'good advice'. Dorks. Liked the posts, loved the 'honest knob' advice. A#$ clowns.

I'm sorry--it's just too funny! Just that someone would spend 15 minutes to respond is just hilarious!

I just heard Southwest raised their minimums to 25,000 total hours, 5,000 intercontenintal 737 PIC time, 1,000 hours powered lift PIC, and 3 lunar landings.

Amazed

I can't believe how many people keep responding to his post.

Mesa how did you do it. I've been trying for years to get a call.

You see my daddy's really rich and he knows alot of people in Southwest. I went through the Regional Airline Academy and after I had 250 hours "Daddy's and Mumsy" made sure that I went to Mesa to get my PIC turbine. After failing out of that flight training, I bought all my turbine PIC turbine in a King Air, and now I'm ready Southwest!

Does Southwest have a flightsim for the interview?

what a moron

Quit wasting your time applying to Southwest and Mesa! If you can afford the type rating NASA is hiring with 600TT&100 multi.

Guys, kngarthur is a 15 y/o from Idaho with 1850 of flightsim 2002/2004 time. Just like his mother (after I'm done with her), if you ignore it - eventually he will go away.
