The dozen or so people I know who whored themselves out and went the PFT route to get hired at SWA...got shot down. Some several times over. Unless your rich and $$$ is no issue, it's a bad gamble. It's smart on SW's part, if your sucker enuf to spend lots of coin to throw your name in the hat, when your name is pulled out they know you'll drink the koolaid.

The nice thing is the kool-aid is really good and we all decide together what flavor we want on any given day.

The kool-aid is goooood!! Best money I ever spent. I can't tell you how many times I heard how silly or stupid I was for spending my money on a type. That was 3 years ago and most of those guys are out of work now. I'm just sayin.
