Southwest makes bid to buy Frontier Airlines

Southwest makes bid to buy Frontier Airlines; Bankruptcy court had approved sale to Republic

  • On Thursday July 30, 2009, 1:19 pm EDT
DENVER (AP) -- Discount carrier Southwest Airlines Co. makes a bid to acquire Frontier Airlines Holdings Inc., which is operating under bankruptcy protection.
A court had already approved the sale of Denver-based Frontier to the parent of regional carrier Republic Airways for $108.8 million, but that deal can be nixed if a better offer comes along.
Frontier did not specify in a statement Thursday how much Dallas-based Southwest is offering in its initial nonbinding proposal.
The deadline for bidders to make an initial offer is Monday. An auction, if necessary, will be held Aug.

Absolutely will not happen without seat protection and relative seniority.
"Absolutely will not happen without seat protection and relative seniority."

This is absurd.

Assuming that you mean that the beleaguered F9 pilots actually control who buys the assets of Frontier in the bankruptcy process, are you suggesting that the little pilot group could torpedo an asset sale, which might result in the poor beleaguered Frontier stockholders and creditors, who made your demonstrably unsuccessful little airline fly in the first place, receiving a few cents on the dollar of their investment, just because you don't like the resulting seniority integration?

OR

Do you think that you--the tail of the dog that is bankrupt, is going to wag the actual dog that buys your little failed airline, with respect to what they are going to do with the employees of the bankrupt airline that they are gracious enough to bail out of certain catastrophic collapse?

Get a clue.

No, you need to get a clue coward. Just because your career is a catastrophic collapse doesn't mean you know what in the hell you are talking about. I'm sure your father is proud of the coward he raised to hide behind his computer and talk smack about the airline that shot his pathetic son down. Again, get a life and beat it. Go back to your ghetto contract with avianco, they are the only idiots that would hire a chump like you.
