Just FYI -- SWA is selling some of the -700's on order to some Chinese Airlines at a huge mark-up because of demand and keeping some of the older -300's to make up for it. Heard it was 20 or 30 million $ each.

I flew a BRAND NEW 700 a few weeks ago, did the walk around and it had some wore out new tires, I was wondering what was up? Maybe too many Midway landings in 2 weeks, Captain explained to me that we take "New" tires off and sell them as soon as they show up and "Lease" recapped tires per landing from someone.

Someone in Dallas has the economics thing figured out for sure, anything to save and/or make money.

I heard from a Check Pilot that the interview will be a tour, one PD interview, one Pilot interview, short but different LOI, out by lunch. I suppose it's all in the name of efficiency.

That matches up with the impression I got when I got "THE CALL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! today.

Got a July 31st interview. They had interviews for July 28-31 (Had to take the 31st due to current gig). PD offered morning or afternoon interview so at the least they've cut it down to a half day. Good luck to all. Hope to see you there!
