Perhaps a more appropriate title for this thread would have been, "Cargo door opens in flight", rather than the title you used, which suggests they took off with the door open.

Sorta like "AirTran formerly known as ValuJet". The media got their money's worth out of that one.

That's right . . . for well over ten years, every story on CNN that featured AirTran referred to us as "AirTran, formerly known as Valujet flight 592". :mad:

I'm sure that the fact that Atlanta-based CNN gets plenty of business from Delta
didn't anything to do with that. :rolleyes:

The article stated they took off with the door open. Not the OP. He was quoting it. It's all good. This thing wasn't UAL 811.
