We had a guy in my new hire class at CAL, who had just quit Southern for the job at CAL. This was back in the summer of 2005. Maybe things at Southern have improved since then, but he was fairly pissed at the company.

I don't believe you. I know him, and while he might have been "pissed" with his OE check pilot (we all are), he had a fairly good time here. Even got typed.
 
btw, what's a group II transport? Would that basically be a "Heavy"?

Have they hired without Heavy time before?
 
Who is the current CP at Southern Air, or who is the best person to address the resume too? Thanks, anyone?

his name is Dave Theil and I chatted with him the other day, a nice guy.. Don't have his email, but he did say that all resumes sent to HR get forwarded to him. With your 747 time, so long as it's about 500 hrs, you should be good..
