Anyone know what Southern is up to lately? Do they have all 747's these days or some of the C-130's also? Also are all their ops overseas or "lower 48" also. Any info in pay, schedules would be appreciated.

I ran into a Southern Air crew in Miami about 2 months ago. I recall they were flying KMIA/SKBO turns in the 747 and that they only had a few airplanes. That's all I can recall.

A friend of mine flys as an FO for them on the 747, I have not heard anything about 130's being there currently, I'll ask. He's told me just about all their trips are overseas. Very little stateside flying except for possibly picking up or droping the plane off.
Don't know about the $$$
FO's get typed there.

He is out on the road now. The next time we head out for a beer i will ask him about it. (This is usally a daily happening when we all just happen to be home and not flying around the country or world)

Man its sunny and 80 out down here in SW FL, this is fishing weather i got to go. C YA

Good Luck Fly Safe
