My brother is in this class and wants to know if anyone else is.
Sorry he doesn’t have a flightinfo log in and really does not want to pay for one.
Lots o pressure! Pressure like, very recently, cross the pacific, in rest for a whole 3 hrs and called to bring back an airplane or else. Answer to the tune of " don't worry well fix the paper work". Nothing to do with pay, or being gone. These companies are resume builders, they are what they are, just don't let him get painted into a corner.
I have been at Southern for a while now and never had anything like that happen. Every now and then you may have to deadhead after a trip and that sucks, but never been asked to do anything illegal. It really isn't a bad place to build time. It is not a career stop so build your time and have fun doing it.
You should expect training to be about 6 weeks including sims.
and then OEs.

27 driver, that's the way to do ground school! Nothing like lots of beer to help solidify the memory items, profiles, limitations and such. My reasoning is if you can remember that stuff after a few beers then you've got it for sure.
And besides, what else is there to do for 2-3 months in a hotel? Watch TV? Study? Naaah!
