WTSP-TV in Tampa/St. Petersburg reported on its Web site that employees were called to the airline's corporate headquarters Tuesday night, given their last paychecks and told they no longer had jobs.
Good riddance. Everyone I know that worked there said they were scared of getting violated on every flight. One guy went to quit, and the (then) CP was like; "really? whos' hiring? Can you get me in?"
Let me clarify something. God bless the 364 loyal Southeast employees whose final paychecks issued Tuesday night are now bouncing. I will do anything I can for you.
My above statement is aimed at the decision makers who sprang this last minute on the employees and the flying public. Employees can't pay their mortgages and families are stranded. Nice.
