Sorry Fed Ex, my bad.

I left a Fed Ex jumpseater behind by not being on top of the gate agent. PHX to MEM I had a US Air jumpseater sighed up and another two Fed Ex guys wanting on. Gate agent told me the flight was completely full. I looked into using the FA jumpseat to accomadate one of the Fed Ex guys, but we still cannot use that jumpseat for off line guys.

Long story short the US Air guy got the last seat in the back and when I realized this I sent the gate agent up to grab one of the Fed Ex guys, but they already left the gate area.

This was completly my fault knowing we had multiple jumpseaters and not being on top of the passenger load in a timely manner. I am sorry Fed Ex, you guys are a class act and I accidently screwed one of your pilots trying to get to MEM. I hope I can make it up in the future.

If by chance, one of you guys read this, you can PM me and I will give you the whole story and another apology. Man, I feel bad.

What seasoned commuter leaves the gate area before the aircraft pushes back unless they have a great plan B.
