Sony Air-8 Radio Audio Problems...

I have an old Sony Air-8 Receiver, and now all of a sudden, the volume control does not work. I can barely hear audio, and have no control over volume at all.
Anyone else had this problem, and know how to solve it?

Sold Mine on Ebay

Sold mine on Ebay a few months ago. Had the same problem. Stated the problem in the description. Started the auction at $25.00. Ended the auction with it selling for $187.50. What's up with dat??? Are the Sony's rare or something??

Bought a New Radio Shack Pro-93 scanner for $90.00. Frequency coverage is UNREAL! Just about every freq. band except for cells phones (Unless you buy from overseas....ssshhh, don't tell the FCC I said that).

I would recommend upgrading

Yeah, I guess it's time for an upgrade. I've had this since '86, so it's served me well.
I guess this is a common problem with the Air-8's, since I've heard of several instances. I was hoping someone would know if there is an easy fix, or if I'm outta luck. Thanks for the response, though
