So I thought to post on something we should all be able to collectively b!tch about.

It's sad/ironic that in the city of our nations capital, no one speaks English. I don't know how many times I've heard this on the radio and in person at IAD.

"I don't know what you are saying!!!"

This actually happened to us the other day.
IADramper- "I'm sorry?"
FA- "what?"
IADramper- "I'm sorry?"
FA- "what are you sorry for?"
IADramper- "I'M SORRY?!!"

Me- "I think he is asking about COMISSARY!!!???"
FA - "Ooooohhhhh, 2 bags of ice, etc......."

Are you guys talking about the G gates? I just commute through there sometimes but from a passenger perspective I know why crews refer to it as the ghetto gates. Loud PA's in thick foreign accents, gate agents threatening to give passengers' seats away if they are not at the podium two seconds from now, busses that don't leave the C gates until they're so full people refuse to get on, funnelling people into the terminal through only one open doorway, filthy restrooms with nothing but little-boy urinals and faucetts that don't work (and there's always a line since it's the only men's room for 800+ people, lack of decent food (Maxwell House coffee? come on!)


It's like a newer version of the ORD F gates without the better food options.
