When political agendas trump the security of the nation.

http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38247

Liberal rage would be humorous, if it weren't so tragic.

Ask yourselves this question? Suppose terrorists feel that another 9-11 would ensure Bush's defeat. Suppose they do as they did in Spain? Spain obviously capitulated to the Madrid bombings. Spain rewarded the terrorists.

It is quite clear that, given the choice, most of our enemies would prefer Kerry as a president.

Nice to know you are both on the same side.

Poll: Christian Men Unhappy With Church

By ERIN GARTNER
Associated Press writer

DENVER (AP) -- More than half of American Christian men questioned in a survey were only marginally satisfied with their church experience, and most ranked family, money and health as more important than spirituality, according to a study released Wednesday by Promise Keepers. The survey also found that most of the respondents did not feel spiritually challenged.

The study, conducted by California-based Barna Research Group, surveyed 415 randomly selected men in six major cities who considered themselves "committed born again Christians" or "active church members."

The study was commissioned by Promise Keepers, a Denver-based men's evangelical Christian group. Founded by former University of Colorado football coach Bill McCartney in 1990, the group encourages men to become more active in their religion and families.

About 30 percent of the respondents said they participated in small groups for Bible study and prayer.

The study found that more than 85 percent of the men did not feel "spiritually challenged" and, when compared to similar studies involving women, men were less likely to take leadership roles at church or set spiritual goals.

The survey was conducted July 24-Sept. 4. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 5 percentage points.

McCartney stepped down as the organization's president last year to care for his ailing wife. Longtime Promise Keepers executive Tom Fortson took over in October.

How about New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg's rant on the Senate floor yesterday?

LAUTENBERG: Come on, America, face up to what we're doing here. This is the ultimate disgrace. Risk your life and then be abused by those in highest office in the country. The chicken hawk has no idea what it means to have the courage to put your life at risk to defend this nation. But they're quick to disparage those who did sacrifice. I don't understand how their conscience permits them to challenge Senator Kerry's commitment to our nation's defense. Mr. President, the reality is that the chicken hawks in this administration are doing a lousy job of bolstering our nation's defense and supporting the troops.

Right now, the Dems are simply ratcheting up the attack machine to draw attention away from Kerry's medal lies. In doing so, they're demoralizing soldiers, encouraging terrorists, and undermining a must-win effort in Iraq. What they're doing is the definition of treason: They're hoping that the failure of the Iraqi effort, the death of more troops, and things to going sideways in any way they can will somehow make the American people think that it's all President Bush's fault....and I see this as completely immoral and THE reason not to vote Democrat.....perhaps ever again.

This "attack a day" strategy is serving nothing more than show the Democrat's true colors. They've labeled our president every name in the book and repeated it, over and over hoping that it will somehow stick in American's heads and cause then to accept it as fact.

Isn't it funny how the Dems are touting John Kerry as a "hero" of a war they so passionately opposed? Do you know that Kerry was in Vietnam for something like four months? And his purple-heart-earning wounds were nothing more than "band-aid" type stuff?

But, question his record and get hit with the "how dare you question a 'war hero's' committment to our country's defense" line. I'm sick of it. John Kerry requested an education deferment AFTER he graduated from college so he could go to Paris and "study" for a year, but was denied and was forced to enter service. Do you ever hear anything about that? Nope. Because John Kerry is the press' hero. Kerry's SERVICE to his country in Vietnam was more than negated by the DISSERVICE he did his fellow soldiers and his country by his activities after returning stateside.

Have you visited any Vietman veteran sites? These people HATE John Kerry because of his anti-war protests while THEY were still fighting...he told congress of the travesties being committed by soldiers and admitted to committing war crimes himself.

Is there a statute of limitations on war crimes? When he's elected will he be immediately impeached for committing them in Vietnam? And how will relations between Vietnam be if a president is elected who admits committing war crimes on the people of that country?

So John Kerry says he's committed to defending this country? This is a man who stated the the threat posed by terrorism is exaggerated. And what is he, as a US senator doing right now to prove his committment to protect this country? He and his party are doing everything they possibly can, on all levels, to undermine the fight on terrorism that has been undertaken by President Bush. Good God, they've even used the senate intelligence committee to play polititics, and when they were discovered, screamed about how the memo outlining these plans was obtained illegally, and, of course, the media played right along. I wanna know, if they think the President's Daily Briefing, a highly classified document should be public info....why aren't these memos? Even the e-mail used by the president is public information.....why weren't these memos, which were stored on a non-secure government-owned server public information? And why are Dems using a committee that is so vitally important right now to play politics? If this isn't dangerous behavior, I don't know what is.

One more thing....the Democrats tout themselves as the party in the spirit of John Kennedy. I gotta tell ya, I think that if JFK knew what his party has become and what the Dems are up to these days.....he'd flip in his grave. His positions have become more right leaning than even some of the republicans serving in congress.

You see Dems, Howard Dean screwed you. I admire Howard Dean from his truthfullness and his straight talk, but he made the anti-war position mainstream in the Democrat party....and John Kerry is having problems "adjusting his postions."

Have you listened to John Kerry speak about what he'd do if he were elected? It's all pscyco-babble and double talk...not to mention impossible. "I'll reach out to the international community and get them to shoulder some of the burden in Iraq".....JOHN, HOW IN THE HELL ARE YOU GONNA DO THIS?? The UN (I suppose he thinks of the UN as the 'world commmunity') was there. THEY LEFT AFTER THE TERRORIST TRIED TO SHOW THEM WHO'S BOSS. (For you folks who are keeping score, that's terrorism-1, UN-0)

What about his other snafus? The letters to two different constituents taking two different positions on the same issue(these were within a couple of weeks of each other), the numerous SUVs that he owns when talking to the Detroit crowd, but doesn't own any when speaking on Earth Day, the thousand dollar hairstyle from the stylists that he flew in for an appearance on "meet the press," the vote "for the 87 billion, BEFORE I voted against it," the war medals that he threw over the fence that weren't his that he doesn't want to talk about, the abortion flip, the education bill flip, Saying he's not gonna make an issue out of President Bush's national guard service and "changing" his mind the Patriot Act flip, the warnings about bad security at Boston's Logan Airport, the missing senate votes in 2003, the outsourcing garbage, the gay marriage non-position, etc, etc, etc.

I think Limbaugh is asking a great question: Dems, if you had to go through the primary process again, would you choose this man a second time? I strongly suspect that the answer would be "no."

War hero, my @ss. This man is more of a "hipster doofus" than even Kramer. Vote your conscience in Novermber.

How about this one?

Liberals Unite!

http://media.dailycollegian.com/pages/tillman_lobandwidth.html

Just goes to show - college educations might load you up with 'facts' (hah!), but they do little to make you wise.

Typical bitter, angry, foolish diatribe by your typical academic elitist.

My Ever notice how the most militantly liberal of females are also the most physically unattractive?

I think thier deeply held anger at their situation shows up as feminist militancy.

Show me a woman who protests the SI swimsuit issue, and I'll show you one who couldn't appear in it in a million years.

For the most part, I have noticed the most miltantly liberal males typically have real social iisues, and have a tendency to pander to the popular opinion to gain acceptance. Liberalsim is very trendy - conservatism takes guts. You walk alone when take the high road.

Promise Keepers has many earmarks of being an ecumenical group. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"

As such, my church, as most Bible churches, have nothing to do with promise keepers. Also, we have no trouble finding dozens of committed men to follow God's call to leadership.

About Frank Lautenberg...

I was driving into Manhattan yesterday, listening to Sean Hannity describe Frank's rant on the Senate floor, and I listened to some of the audio. You could tell he didn't believe what he was saying. Still, I was appalled that he would have the brass to to lie as if he were telling ther truth.

Risk your life and then be abused by those in highest office in the country.

When has this happened?

The chicken hawk has no idea what it means to have the courage to put your life at risk to defend this nation.

Really. Based on what evidence? When did we become a military dictatorship where only former service members who were in a war zone have the ability to speak on national defense of American military policy? Did I miss a coup?

But they're quick to disparage those who did sacrifice.

When was someone's service disparaged? What I, and many others have disparaged, is Kerry's activities that gave aid and comfort to the enemy after he returned from service overseas.

It's a long list of lies.

I don't understand how their conscience permits them to challenge Senator Kerry's commitment to our nation's defense.

That's easy. It's in the senate record.

Mr. President, the reality is that the chicken hawks in this administration are doing a lousy job of bolstering our nation's defense and supporting the troops.

Mr. Lautenberg, you sound as if you are grasping at straws. What in the world could you owe to these democrats to make you say these things??? Your statement on the senate floor no doubt bolsters the confidence of our enemies.

Frank, you are about an Angstrom Unit away from treason.

Here is what you get when you fill out the email form on Frank Lautenberg's website:

Thank you for contacting me. Due to the volume of e-mails, I can only
respond to constituents with New Jersey mailing addresses. If you need
further assistance, please contact the Senator from your home state.

Thank you

http://lautenberg.senate.gov/

I just got off the phone with Rick Santorum's aide, and asked her to relay my displeasure with Senator Lautenberg's remarks.

I recommend you ask your senators to do the same.

Timebuilder,

Well, duh...his constiuents are in New Jersey, after all. So if you don't live there, then why should he bother with you versus someone who actually voted for him to represent them in Congress? As a conservative, this should appeal to you since it's a "state's rights" issue, an issue that used to be a core of the Republican party before the Bible-thumpers got in the way...

He wan't speaking as a representative of the people of New Jersey. He was speaking as a party member on issues which affect the entire country, and in support of a presidential candidate from Massachusetts, not New Jersey, and what he said gave aid and comfort to our enemies.

Further, none of it was true.

Does that help?

The gay marriage crowd is doing far more to destroy state's rights than the "bible thumpers" ever did.

Correction-

Original writer was male. The name Rene had fooled me, until I remembered that most women spell it "Renee".

Anyway, what we have here then is probably some wimpy, cappucino-sipping future 'film director' or 'actor-whatever' who has no courage or honor.

OR-

He is envious of the 'hero' status of soldiers, and rather than admitting (if even to himself) that he does not have the courage to give up his cushy urban-elitist lifestyle and go fight for something. So instead, he will disparage and discount our military, pretending they are the enemy. This soothes his feelings of inadequacy.

Side note: I will give Mr. Snakum credit for being in the military and serving our country. I will also mention that many times I agree with his aviation related posts.

However the Bush/conservative/christian bashing still doesn't fly.
