Just reading some of the side LOA's on our contract. I'm reading about dutying (spelling?) in early in MTY. Reading LOA #21

NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
A. Notwithstanding Section 2.MM., the Company may require a pilot to report for duty no more than one (1) hour prior to flight departure while on any layover at Monterrey, Mexico (MTY), or White Plains, New York (HPN).
B. Any pilot required to report for duty early pursuant to paragraph A., above, shall be compensated at his or her hourly rate, including any premium pay, for an additional thirty (30) minutes of flight pay.
C. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Letter of Agreement, the Company may not, under any circumstances, require a report time that will result in a pilot receiving reduced rest as defined by the FARs, or if it will result in any rest period which would violate Section 12 of the collective bargaining agreement between the parties.
D. This Letter of Agreement will become effective upon approval of the President of the Association and shall remain in full force and effect concurrently with the collective bargaining agreement between the parties effective September 15, 1998.

Since we duty in at MTY 1 (one) hour instead of 45 mins, shouldn't we get paid 30 minutes of flight pay, not just the extra 15 mins of per-diem??

Also for those guys going through training, I know they're not paying Per-diem...
Side LOA #23 Says:

NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree that Section 5.A.4. of the collective bargaining agreement between the parties effective September 15, 1998, will be changed to read as follows:
4. A pilot engaged in new hire training shall receive the per diem rate provided for in paragraph 5.A., above.

This seems to say that they should receive per-diem throughout all of training...

I'm sitting here in my room bored and wondering, any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Regards,
Tom

Yes you do, although you have to claim it. HPN is an even better deal because in addition to the 30 minutes you get 15 minutes of reposition pay for moving the airplane.

So I need to go back on all my MTY overnights and claim .5 of flight time! I like it. Is 6 months the most we can retro?

Tom

Regarding per diem, you need to read 5.A.2
Pilots are not eligible for per diem in domicile. The LOA allows new hire pilots to collect per diem during IOE... 5.A.4 did not allow them to do that before.

You only get 15 minutes of extra flight time in MTY since we changed to 45 minute prior duty-ins at outstations. Look at the last LOA I believe- the one with the CR7 rates.
