You're going to see those international contracts get REALLY lucrative and start to pop up in really neat places.

Right now there's a 737-700 CA gig based in Brisbane, AU paying $15k a month with 10 days off a month flying back and forth up the Pacific Rim.

If you were a 53 year old F/O who was staring at a 7-9 year further upgrade versus going over and being a CA and having some fun overseas for the last part of your career and you didn't have any kids in school to worry about, I bet you'd think twice about it, too (yes, we have several of those here).

Not saying there will be a lot of takers, but there will be some, especially when those gigs start topping $20k a month and get more commutable. Wanna make a side bet on the number, over/under? ;)
