If you guys have the same box as we do, you go: init-ref/index/alternate destination. Then you can scroll through several pages of the nearest airports.

We don't have the 'alternate destination' feature on our box. I was told that there was a trick to getting it to work, like pushing multiple buttons at once.

Your airline is cheap just like ours. Go to RTE Page and select an offset 2.0L Then hit the erase for both FMCs at the same time. It will come up. Enjoy.

Unless things have changed, SWA only has one FMC.

Just an observation from jumpseating prior to 9/11.

William Bulfer's "B737 FMC guide" and "B737 Cockpit Companion".
If you fly different veriants and aren't so smart such as myself, they are must have, easy to read guides.

You won't find that in any of Bulfers books, but he does have good stuff. The new 10.5 program kinda outdates a bunch of the techniques presented.
