Anyone work in the past demonstrating and or working for sales of small aircraft ? I may have an opportunity to do this with a fairly new company & new small piston acrft.
What was it like ?
Pay ? salary + fee per plane or what ?

Thanks !

Ive met a few people that did this, well they did the travelling demo show approach. Diamond did that with the Katana's when they were new. I even met Mira Slovak (remember the 'Smirnoff' Bearcat at Reno?) who was doing it for a while in a really tiny trainer plane made by who knows what company. Kinda flimsy in my opinion. Anyway, from what they've told me, you get a salary, and an expense account for hotels and what not. You fly all around to places that use planes like that extensively and show it to them. demo it if they want. and then go on to the next stop.

eh, i guess it would be alright. Could be fun methinks. Diamond paid 30k or at least quite near it at the time.

.....

I worked for a small company as a demo pilot for a while. The sales people got a modest salary and made the real money on commissions.
