There was a pilot that was just awarded houston captain that has less than a year with the company.

It is more junior to become a Captain there than an FO elsewhere: When I was a Bro FO I had my bid in for over a year to go to Portland while guys in my newhire class were going to IAH to upgrade. I didn't have the time (2500 total, 1000 Part 121 crew) or I would have gone there too.

Times change: I heard they sent a bunch of newhires to PDX recently, but IAH is still the most junior domicile for Captains, although FAT is a close second. FOs are junior both domiciles, and you could upgrade at low seniority at either, though the IAH captain list is way more junior on average than the FAT list.

About 18 months ago, just before IAH opened, the bottom pilot on the ENTIRE SW seniority list was awarded IAH captain!

Do any of the 120 guys overnight in BPT?
No overnights in BPT.

January bid packet has overnights in ACT, CLL, TXK, MLU, VCT, ABI....and standups at SJT, TYR, ABI.
