That's better news then what's been going around
our crew room as far as TED buying out AWAC again.
But if AWAC was the plan, I'm curious as to how they
would do it. They would have to adbide by what is
specifically written in our contract.
Intergration could be a problem(as is any merger):
If Air Wisconsin was the case:
Section 1. Recognition & Scope.
Paragraph E, Section 2 B & C.
B) The intergration of seniority will be accomplished in fair
and equitable manner in accordance with the Allegheny-
Mohawk Labor Protective Provisions specified by the Civil
Aeronautics Board in the Allegheny-Mohawk Merger in the
event the parties fail to a negotiated resolution.
The Company (Buyer) shall except the merged seniority
list provided that merged list, by its terms, does not require
pilot(s) to be be displaced from his current position.
C) The aircraft (including all orders and options to purchase
aircraft) and operations of each pre-transaction airline shall
remain separate and shall not be transferred between the
pre-transaction airlines until such time as the pilot are
intergrated in accordance with...
If this one was to happen, simply meaning,
AIR WISCONSIN pilots would not be displaced from there
present position. Like it or not, I don't think any pilot
at AWAC would accept less, nor should they.
It's a good rumour, non the less...
I will say this however, Skywest does an excellent job.
From ground service to there Flight Attendants, and pilots
alike.
Welcome to ORD Skywest, perhaps if Skywest buys AWAC.
I'll finally get to stop paying my dues to ALPA.
There's a 2% raise right away.
