I havent been following Sky West, what's the deal?

The country is about to move into a better economy, any airline union that settles for less now, is doomed to be stuck with bad wages till darned near the next down turn.

Skywest Nonunion good bad depends on the day . Heard through my captain that he talked to a skywest captain and that they will be matching mesa 70 seat pay with their 50 seat pay nasty cut. i took 7% and it sucks their cut will be alot more than 7%

Simple solution would be for the pilot group not to settle for the rates and fight for more.... Extremely simple and elementary, you cannot blame Mesa for this if indeed no fight is put up (doubt that will be the case however). You get what you "bargain" for and I am sure SW will "attempt" to get more and what they deem is fair and appropriate.

If you "settle" for less then that is your fault and no one else could be blaimed. Same as in l i f e -

Utterly untrue. Our current pay agreement runs until Dec 2004 and noone is talking paycuts.
