MarineGrunt-

My buddy said he doesn't think it's in writing anywhere, but it's just who you know. Sorry not much help. Good luck.

Would a part-time ramper be eligible for a pilot interview position at 1000/100/100? Does SkyWest have some sort of preferential internal hiring process for current employees...even if they're part-time?

thanks a bunch!! bob

As others mentioned above, it looks like if you know the right people, you can probably squeeze in before the 1000/100/100 mark.

Does anyone know when one should start applying?? Anyone, anyone....?

For now they are right at the top with Comair.

You're kidding right? Their pay scale sucks compared to ours first of all. $19 for the first year in the EMB is the top?? What's the world coming to??

I have edited my previous post but non the less you would have a difficult time finding a nother regional contract other than Comair that can match what SkyWest is getting right now.

You have used one example of a 19$ first yr Turbo prop payscale to base that they dont have one of the best contract is silly, It appears that there 2ed year fo on theEMB is 28$ and CL-65 is 36$ an hr. You failed to mention that.

All this pay scale stuff is over rated anyways you can have the best pay scale in the industry but with out work rules, Min day, trip gaurntee, block or better, draft at 150%,cancllation pay to back it up it is only a number to look at.

you may have a 5$ an hr better pay rate than a guy at a nother airline but he may bring home 7-8% more pay at the end of the month. Flying the same or less Hr than you. Pay is all in the work rules not the pay scale.

Your not talking about being a CFI anymore where you take your 20$ an hr and go times hrs flown = pay.
