At least Gojet pilots did vote a union in...

what is the status of Skywest pilots voting union in?
And Skywest is taking our flying and our aircraft, at least GJ did not take anyones aircraft away from them.

GJ pilots people will get over it, you will find other jobs to move on to..jetblue..airtran..fedex...they don't have the attitudes like you are dealing with--they are professionals.

Skywest pilots....let me give you some advice: Don't respond to this ignorant, flame baiting post. I don't work for Skywest, never have. These type of flames will never stop if you guys dignify the poster. You are obviously a better category of people compared to this clown shoe.

Wow.

Grammar?

"Worst," or "worse?"

In any event, the SKYW ALPA Organizing Committee is in the process of mailing out cards for a union vote.

But will it make you feel any better to lose A/C to a union airline?

I think there are larger problems both our pilots groups need to address, together, and they are not solved by attacking the pilots themselves...

Sounds like some one has an interview at GJ. As close as it gets to being a scab....

yeah, this is idiotic....skywest is a lot better place to work than Mesaba is and we are ALPA.......or i mean....getting screwed over by alpa.....alpa lets other airlines add language in their contracts specifically limiting and taking away the planes we fly......nice......lets see, NWA never let Mesaba get outside contracts to increase our pilot/plane numbers, and the pilots limit what planes we can fly......nice place to work......nice union to have.......there should be some basic limits imposed for quality of life, a min pay for an aircraft that way, labor is a fixed cost that only goes up, but i am sure more slowly.....than before....in good times, but it would protect us from the more numerous bad times.

I'd say, good luck getting on with FedEx. I'd like to say that they actively look out for the likes of GJ. I could be wrong but it's my understanding.

I've got no problems with SkyWest guys even though that company may cost me my job. GJ pilots, on the other hand, are scumbag, bag stabbing, low life's.

frankly, scarlet is the sears master craftsman of tools. get a life. think what would have happened had skywest not come in a buy asa.

You mean something like paycuts and losing aircraft?

You ready to trade places with Comair? ASA and SkyWest will probably both see some solid growth, but acting like kids on here does nothing to bring our pilot groups together.

:mad:Scarlet, you are a "POOR" excuse for a pilot! IF you work at ASA, I am ASHAMED! Skywest guys/gals, don't pay no mind to this IDIOT!!!

Skywest is a GREAT! company. They pay and qol is 10 times better than that of ASA and ASA has alpa. Seems to be unions only hurt the industry.

Don't send 'em to JetBlue. I don't want to sit next to 'em!

I did a "Find more posts by scarlet" search, and these were just within the past 10:

Gojet pilots you are not SCABS so don't worry about it..all these people that talk about you guys, would go fly for Continental and Airtran and Delta and Fedex, and UPS,, and sit right sit for scabs all day long--they just want to come on here and bitc$. I fly for ASA and Skywest is taking our flying and aircraft, so they muxt be scabs, but at least you guys voted a union in--they will not--so I think people need to be bashing them before you guys!!

You can deny people jumpseat too........

ALPA has done a great job since Sept.11th---NOTHING!!!! maybe they should try bankr...

I think it is called SCABs

ASA announced May 8th we were getting the 76 seaters--and now SKywest getting them, b/c they are cheaper and un-unionized..and ASA PILOTS should take a pay cut with the company making 13% profit--higher than any other business in the world, even more than the oil companies at 10%....

The union at your airline is only as strong as the pilots allow. Ultimately whatever happens is a result of your votes.

As with skywest, they all seem like a great group of folks. I caught a ride up to MKE the other day. The Capt and First officer were cool as hell. We used to do all those flights but we don't anymore. I blame no one at skywest. All this losing flying, getting flying is just business that is above my pay grade.

However if Go-Jets were doing the flying up there I would have hitchiked before trying for them.

That union strong as the pilots allow is an old tired cliche. National should be the leaders. They get those big salaries right? Then its time for them to think of new methods or get out. Unions have used the same old tired arguments for years now. If a company fails management is blamed. Why isn't ALPA any different? The union has failed therefore you must blame the entire union management.
