I had a few questions about your new pay raise:
1) how did you vote, is a computer based system?
2) Does the company know who voted yes or no, do you have to enter your SSI and name for voting?
3) The override for 70/90 seater is is for actual hours flown on type or just for over block?

Thanks

1) Yes. it was on the computer
2) Yes, combo of name and ssn
3) They made something simple confusing, but the way I understand it is the override is block or better (although I may be wrong)

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the override is just flight time.

#3 is right on the money. When "they" make something simple confusing, why do you think that is?

Any takers?

When you boil everything down, for every 1 hour of -700/900 flown you get paid an extra 3 minutes at the -200 hourly rate. So if you block 80 hours on the -700, you'll get an extra 4 hours on top of whatever your credit ends up being.

hey....to all you clowns who voted yes on that crappy pay scale....thanks. what a crock...now we are going to have to spend more time watching our paychecks than we do flying. why cant our pilot group grow some balls. when they get told no retro pay why doesnt sapa say "ok...from now on no one will pick up a minute of open time" and walk out of the room. why do we act like dogs begging for scraps? yeah...im pissed...deal with it.

At least there are a few here who "get it"!

I owe you a beer sir!

So what you are saying is that only hours over block/gurantee get the extra $4/hr?

Yes. SkyWest pilots should really know better too, because after tirelessly saying on this forum "there's more to pay than hourly rates" to justify their low payrates, they agree to something that doesn't count toward any sort of soft time at all, just block time. The override does nothing to their rigs, vacation pay, training pay, etc. That is all paid at the 50-seat rate.

I predict that after this all shakes out, the average pilot won't see much more than about a grand a year. They're barely keeping up with inflation even though they supposedly got a 5% "raise".

I hope it was an impartial balloting service instead of a company administered vote. Which is it?

I almost want to ask for you're name, so the next time some dumbass is talking about his great crosswind landing in the -900 in the van to the hotel I can punch him in the balls and tell him to call you.

Me likey beer. bummer is i can only afford 1% more now and I wont have time to drink it because I will be spending all my time checking to see if I got paid right.

yeah...punch him in the balls...but then he will just go home and tell his online girlfriend that a "real" airline pilot punched him in the balls and how cool he is. i gotta say we really took in the shorts this time around. SAPA really went above and beyond. i wish they had just let us vote on it instead of endorsing it so much.

damn im pissed.
