I have talked to crew members from both airlines, Everyone seems nice. Who do you think is the better one to go as a F.O. is you got both job offers. CHQ seems smaller and is growing larger, SkyWest is larger and seems more stable in regards to not being connected with US AIR. CRJ vs. ERJ?

Whatever airline hires you first is better.

:)

P.S. Say hi to your dad for me. I used to flight instruct with him at API.

Simple answer to a not so simple question..........

I don't work for either, but I can tell you this, there is no way to measure Quality of Life. It's huge. IMHO, more important than almost (again ALMOST) anything else. Are you single? Kids? Sick family members? Where are you from? Do you want to be based out west, or out east (mostly with CHQ)? Do you want to commute? If so from where? Pilots at both of these regionals seem to be relatively happy, and all things considered it's a basically a toss up. Whatever you do though, DON'T make a decision based on projected upgrade. Predictions like those change like the wind. Pick where you want to live, and what makes you and your loved ones (if any happy). Both good regional airlines, which one gives you the better Quality of life???????

Where do you want to live eventually? West Coast or East Coast? Even if you were given ORD right off the bat at SkyWest, you could eventually bid for a PSP or SAN base--even though it may take years. At CHQ, you could bid a FLL or MCO base, but that may be after a CMH or IND stint. Both airlines seem to be growing and both have 70 seaters, even though SkyWest doesn't pay you differently for the larger aircraft. If I had to choose, I would pick CHQ and be based in FLL.
