i'm trying to set up transportation home after the interview but i don't know when i'll be done. anyone know about what time the interview ends. thanks.

sorry but just wondering, is it really worth it to buy a ticket and fly out to one of these group interviews? what happens at them? or just wait for the online resume thing to work it's wonders.

I guess that depends on if you want the job sooner, or not.

In the past, I tried to get a pilot buddy of mine an interview. When sitting in C E's office, I watched her go thru the database of applications, and then was told that priority would be given on interviews to those who took the time to attend the past group interview.

I hope that answers your question.

This event took place about 3 years ago, after a set of group interviews.
Since the very same people are still making the decissions on who gets interviewed..well you do the math.

By attending you are going to get an interview, assuming you pass the two written tests, and have a resume that shows you meet the hiring minimums..I gather assuming you dont walk in in cuts offs and flip flops.

All of the above is my oppinion only, so take it for what its worth.

Would I buy a ticket to an interview? Probably so. In this business, seniority is everything. Getting hired a couple weeks prior, let along months prior can mean an earlier upgrade (More $$$) and getting off reserve quicker, choosing vacation and being able to hold domiciles and get weekends and holidays off.

You probably purchased nice shoes for the interview, and possibly a nice suit. You can just sit back and wait for the call, or you can take matters into your own hand and attend one of the group interviews..your choice.

As to the time it will end, I have no clue..but will try and find out.

LAX for example:
Wednesday 06/28/06 Los Angeles, CA, Los Angeles Airport Hilton & Towers 5711 W. Century Blvd. Los Angeles, CA
1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Presentation will begin at 1:30 PM)
*Bring your resume and copy of your current First Class medical, pilot license, drivers license and passport.

Id say, it would be over at 5PM or slightly after.

About 7 years ago, I attended the SFO roadshow.
The day I attended, about 50 pilots in the typical blue/black/grey suit showed up. We were put at tables, greeted, and given two written exams. Following the written exams, there were personel interviews for those who passed the written exams. If my memory is correct, the entire event last just 2 to 3 hours. There were many who did not pass the writtens, did not do much pre study, and many who didn't pass the HR portion. If you attend, I would know your stuff cold. If you intervew and dont make it thru a portion, then you can re apply in 6 months. If you are accepted, they will send you a ticket to SLC where you will do your Simulator portion and CRM portion of your interview.

Good luck..but to be honest, it does not involve luck!

It all depends on how many people are in the interview class. At mine ther were only 5 and I was able to catch a 230 flight back home. But if there were more people I am assuming I wouldnt have gotten out of there until like 3 or 4.

good luck
