newhire in DEN or SLC...reserve is going to probably be longer than 6 months. don't be surprised if most new hires go to ord soon. everything is subject to change...

Just found out this morning that my interview is on the 24th. The sim is booked the night before at american aviation training. Anyone on this board going to the sim the night of the 23rd? Maybe I can sit in and at least watch? I've never flown this type of simulator so that isn't going to be good. I wonder how much different it is than a frasca 142?

Also this mechanical test, won't have time to order a book to study, anyone know where I can find this information on the internet? I wonder if the library might have an ASVAB or ARCO test booklet? I guess I will have to find out tommorrow.
Sounds like a tough interview, also does anyone know for sure if they pay during training or not?

I interviewed last week and did a sim prep at American the night before. If no one offers you to join them I suggest you go hang out there anyway. It is walkable from the Candlewood suites where many people stay and they were very casual about having me show up early for my session. I would bet that if you show up they might find a little window for you to take a spin in it.

I have never flown the frasca but I have heard that the 810 is much more stable. It is way easier to fly than the AST-300 that I am familiar with.

The Interview is made much easier by the fact that they do there best to make you feel comfortable. They are hiring people not text-books. I had a great time, passed the interview and am in the March class.

Good luck!.... oh yeah they told us that they do not pay during training. They just pay for your double occupancy hotel.

My interview is on the 25th. I've booked two sim sessions with American Aviation on the 24th, if any one wants in on it with me, you can PM and let me know. Good luck to you all!

we're the questions straight from the atp? and How many Mech Apt questions were there? my interview is March 4th. I've been hearing that this is the toughest interview around.

Sewer pipe,
I have seen all the books you would need to study at Barnes&Noble book store. Could probably get away with just studying them in store!
