They will say you have to do your observations but in the last 8 years no one has ever asked for proof! FYI

And PS you can do them during training

This is not true. They asked to see my sign off sheet when I went to the sim. I had only done two but I flew the airplane prior to going to skywest so the guy didn't care. Another guy in my class was struggling and they asked to see his sign off sheet for the 6 observation flights and he hadn't done any. They said this was the deciding factor in choosing to not give him any extra training time. In other words, if he had of done them they would have been more understanding.

When I was there, Pat Ava would arrange positive space travel to and from home on the weekends for you if you asked. Very nice lady. Give her a try.

Pat is fantastic, however, apparently, she has been told not to allow PS travel for people in training anymore. There's a post detailing this on the sapa forums.

In 4 years and 4 groundschools I've never been asked to see them, but if things started going rough in training, I would have felt pretty stupid if I didn't have them. Probably I never got asked for proof because I am so awesome. Just a theory.
