A few weeks back I flew on a CRJ-700 from Edmonton to ORD and the crew looked pretty young. I was told that they were Colorado Springs based. I know that the 700 pays the same as the 200 (which is ridiculous in my opinion). Is the aircraft pretty junior as a result - or is it a basing situation in which more senior SLC pilots don't want to move to Colorado Springs to fly the aircraft?

Will Skywest be receiving a lot more 700s in the future? It was a nice ride although the lav in the back is waaaaay too small for even a supermodel. I still think the E170 is a much nicer aircraft - up front and in the back - much, much nicer....

At COS this month it went junior as they are long four day trips that start early am on day one and finish late on day four. Many commuters at COS, most passed it up from what I can tell as its essentially a 6 day trip for them. Many of us also have reservations about flying it over pay issues. So far, I haven't been forced to fly it.

The 170 would be nicer. If I was United, I would stipulate that its regional partners fly it in the 70 seat market. Obviously not that easy though. A makeover is in the works for the 700 however, getting the larger lav that some other operators have along with a first class section.

I think I read somewhere that we've already got a 700 with a two class config. Don't know where I read it though.

All future 700 deliveries will be 3 class and the original configuration aircraft will be eventually retrofitted.
