Stagnation in 2001-2002 made for a 9 month swim, this could be longer or run into the first furlough at SkyWest. DAL is looking to shed as many 50 seaters as possible and OO has a few.

so does comair and asa. we could all take a hit that would make quite a dent in todays regional airline picture. probably not a whole lot of good to come of this for the regionals. perhaps the first of some decent restructuring for the majors to give some semblance of what the airlines used to be.

I hope my info is wrong. amcnd, what's your source that March 10th is still going?

There were only 2 newhires in that class when I saw the bid. I don't think they would run a class of 2. Things will change. Give us a month to figure it out.

May be they are taking a break from normal hiring because they just hired tons of people from SKYWAY and giving them class dates instead of person off of the street, and then resume normal hiring after all the SKYWAY people are through. Considering skyway closes door right around April and it takes approx. 2 months(May, June) to go through trainning. Just a guess....

Holy crap that is good. Please tell me I'm not the only one that got that.

it's been a running joke on this and probably thousands of other forums for years now.

Upgrade for what? I understand the last bid for jet went quite senior. I think the bro is gonna go that way too if they keep running those upgrades.

I'm coming from Skyway and I'm as much in the dark as anyone else. All I've been told is that I am hired and my class date is "To be determined." Anyone else been told different?

As far as the seniority number thing from what I understand is that we will get seniority number in the next class that we would have been hired into. We can then stay at Skyway until the end(April 5) and actually start class in the next available class following that. All that may do us no good at all if this information about no classes until June or Sept. is true.

Congrats dleif, glad to hear that April still has an active class. Do you know anything about the bro side of things?

So that means no more getting pulled off trips for IOE, NOOOOOO!
