All pissing, moaning and bitching aside, assuming this goes through, how would they determine which UAL guys get jobs and for which carrier. If my information is correct, there's a big difference between pay at Skywest and Mesa for a 2nd year jet F/O.

Please throw flames elsewhere, I have no stake in this, just a curious bystander.

I believe they'll have somewhat of a choice. If they do, I assume they're all smart enough to go to SKYW.

Maybe then we won't get enough of them at MAG and it'll limit how many aircraft we can fly for UAL.

But, I'm sure Johnny would find a way around that too...

It could come down to a choice in location or base, Skywest on the west coast or Mesa in DEN or IAD. I'm sure it will be seniority based though. Although, if Skywest could add 2-3 airframes a month compared to 1 a.f. for Mesa or vice versa, that too would decide where folks might go. Definately a tough pill to swallow, but I think the sad fact is that the bottom third of the furloughed list are not going to be back at mainline for several years.
