With respect to SkyWest, Inc. future deliveries of 46 regional jet aircraft, 7
CRJ700 aircraft are scheduled for delivery during the remainder of 2005, 6
CRJ200 aircraft and 23 CRJ700 aircraft are scheduled for delivery during 2006and 10 CRJ700 aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2007. It is anticipated thatall ATR72 aircraft will be eliminated from the fleet by the end of 2007.

So with the 13 700's already on order for UEX in Jan and Feb, it sounds like a total of 20 new 700's by 2007 and 6 200's for a total of 26 minus the ATR's. I wonder how the planes will be allocated.

United flying split between DEN AND ORD. Unless they add one or 2 in slc for Skywest delta side of things.

I think those numbers look higher than expected because they include both SkyWest and ASA deliveries. I know SkyWest wasn't scheduled for any deliveries beyond May or so of 2006. Does anyone know what ASA's plans for new aircraft were?

How exactly would you know that? I know it's referenced in the press release under the "SkyWest, Inc." section, but in the next sentence they discuss retiring the ATR's which belong to ASA...so it's kind of unclear.

Was ASA already planning on dumping the ATR's?

They never gave a straight answer but everybody pretty much knew that once the leases expired that they wouldn't be renewed.

Sounds like some of those planes are ASA's future deliveries. If you look at Skywest's fleet schedule at:
http://www.skywest.com/invest/fleet_sched.php

You can see their future deliveries. If you subtract their deliveries from the numbers above, you come up with 6 CRJ200's and 22 CRJ700's. Since ASA was still supposed to get another 20 aircraft or so it looks like we finally know most of them will be CRJ700's and we probably got a few more to cover the ATRs going away.

Hey,
Jerry's Mgmt kids have a powerful taste for CR7s, they will go to the lowest bidder(guess who?)
Sad,Sad,Sad
PBR

Guess again PBR, those planes are going to ASA and SkyW both. It's easy to sit back and assume the worst, but please try to have some facts to back up your doom and gloom predictions.
