So what will happen with Skyway now that Delta went with Mesa? I guess the tentative Beech class for June will be a no go?

Talking out of my arse here, as usual, but I would not be surprised if mesa had to assume the 30 dork leases as a part of the 12 year deal with DAL. When CHQ signed a deal with DAL they had to give DAL something in return. CHQ gave DAL a stake in Republic and that was openly discussed in the press release. Not much was said in the Mesa release except that the dornier flying was being replaced by mesa CRJ's. My crystal balls say JO now owns the dorks and he will do one or two things or a combo of both. Start Freedum II with them (don't reply with some dumb sh1t about "our new scope blah blah blah") or sell them to MEH, or both.

I don't know, but does anyone have the number to that truck driving school on TV? What was that... Truckmasters?

Probably everyone lower than seniority number 200 or so...

All we can hope for is that Midwest can lease/buy at least 5 DoJets for ourselves. Time will tell.

Sorry to hear about the June class.

I don't think Mesa has anything to do with the DoJets - we've been awarded 30 CRJ2's.

Again - hope the class continues and that you expand. Sorry that it wasn't today.

Well,
I've been working for MEH for the last five or so years and I can already see the writting on the wall. And I'm not the only one, a guy that I know hasn't even been with the company a year saw it as others have and he went out and found himself a new job. I wish him and the rest of them good luck.
As for the rest of us who have been here in lean times and in fat times and have stuck it out, the only comfort that we have is eachother and our seniority number.
We have worked through tough times before, and none of us really want to see the airline worked like that again. I can only hope that they (the company) learned from the last time we where understaffed and not make the same mistake twice.
But knowing them they wont.
I feel bad for the guys and gals who might get cut, they are a great bunch of men and women and I wish them well. I know that most of them wont find it hard to find new jobs. Having flown with most of the new Beech FO's I can honestly say that pilot skills are not going to be a problem for them.
As for me, I'm trying to get out. I love the people that I work with but I can't keep putting my future on hold because we think that something might happen.
