Imagine if all of the pilots on the road on April 4 called in sick at their last outstation..........

Let em have a good time picking up airplanes all over the country !!!

Best of Luck to all of the Skyway guys!!!

.

Yeah, Nut not before you write up the landing gear for making a "strange" sound upon extension.

Very, very sad.

I think Skyway pilots will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly other airlines pick them up though.

Pilot hiring boards aren't above thinking "that could be me someday" and this will work in Skyway pilots favor.
Indeed,
What airline airline isn't drooling over current, qualified 121 line pilots for the bargain basement price of 1st year pay?
Good luck guys!

When independence went under there was certainly no severance pay.

Most people kept their manuals and everything, but I dont thin the company cared, nor did they have the personnel to handle keeping track of the manuals anyway. most stuff showed up on ebay as collector items.

you guys should seriously look into the fractionals. you'll get paid more to work less, no reserve garbage to deal with, tons of frequent flier miles and hotel points. And NetJets even has a Mil-Town base. Easier to get hired at Flexjet tho...
