Delta Connection Offers New Service Between Kansas City and Dallas/Fort Worth

DALLAS/FORT WORTH, Aug. 5, 2002 -- Delta Connection will offer customers non-stop jet service between Kansas City, Mo., and Dallas/Fort Worth beginning Oct.1, 2002. Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines (Nasdaq:SKYW) will operate six round-trip flights daily with the Bombardier CRJ regional jet.

"This new Delta Connection service will give Kansas City customers convenient access to four Delta (NYSE:DAL) hubs -- Atlanta, Cincinnati, Dallas/Fort Worth and Salt Lake City -- with a total of 24 Delta and Delta Connection round-trip flights," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer, Delta Connection, Inc.

Travelers at Delta’s hub in Dallas/Fort Worth will have access to more than 210 daily flights on Delta or Delta Connection to more than 60 cities. This includes popular destinations throughout the West and Southwest.

Known for its convenience, comfort and speed, the CRJ carries passengers in a two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at a speed of 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world.

Delta Connection includes wholly owned subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Comair, additional regional carriers Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and SkyWest Airlines, and codeshare partner American Eagle in California. Delta Connection carriers operate more than 250 regional jets throughout North America. For more information, please visit delta.com.

Yet another example of DCI screwing OH and EV. This is a blatant attack on us. 6x daily with no EV or OH overlap. Vultures.
