SKYW, Inc. 3Q Earnings

SkyWest Inc., operator of regional flier SkyWest Airlines, said third-quarter earnings jumped 35 percent, helped by higher passenger traffic and contributions from an acquisition.

Net income rose to $40.7 million, or 63 cents per share, from $30.1 million, or 51 cents per share, in the year-ago period. The result was in line with analyst expectations, according to a Thomson Financial poll.
