I used to fly jumpers at Skydive Michigan in Marshall, Michigan(near Jackson) and also at Skydive Hastings in Hastings, Michigan (near Grand Rapids).
Skydive Hastings has three C-182's and a King Air 90. Awesome, nit-picky maintence, pay was (in 1996) $5.00 a trip up, free lunch and dinner. You could build 500+ hours in a good summer if you were there to fly your butts off. Rick Smith owns/operates the place---very millitant hard ass owner. He is a Northwest pilot so he can relate to any flying question you might have. Kind of a jerk. Real professional operation.
Skydive Michigan has one C-182 and one Beach 18. Maintence is ok, pay is the same as the other, I flew 300 hours there one summer. Owner is absolutely awesome, she is fair, respondsible, and is very flexible. Of the two Skydive Michigan was my personal favorite.
All in all I had a lot of fun and built some good flight time while at school.
