Does anybody know anything about Sky Limo Air Charter out of FXE? Talked to a couple people over there but can't find out any real details.

Thanks

From the name, I'd expect it to be a part of the Aero Toy Store operation.

Have you checked with them?

I don't think they are, but I could be wrong. They have a corporate office in downtown Ft. Lauderdale and keep the airplanes at the World Jet hangar at FXE, don't know much else though. I'm just trying to find out as much as I can.

Also any info on Personal Jet at FXE and National Jets at FLL would be awesome! It's very hard to get in touch with the right people.

Thanks again.

National Jets does air ambulance in Lear 25's and 35's. A recent email of a resume, with time in type, generated no response.

That's all I have for you right now.

Try Hop-A-Jet, thats a real nice operation.
Sky Limo is pretty much finished, last I heard. They probably still have a C414.

Sky Limo moved to FLL. They used to be based at FXE. Mostly Metros.

Hop-A-Jet is still at FXE. Hiring mins are extremely high even for FOs and they will probably want time in type. They operate Challengers and Lear 35s. One of the few FL operators that doesnt hire 250 hr guys to sit right seat in exchange for money. Good company but tough to get on.

Personal Jet runs Lears but FOs are required to pay for their training and sign a contract.

My advice is to stay out of South Florida. Everybody wants to work there. Lots of pilots willing to pay for training and for a job. Most of the operators hire low time guys willing to shell out 10k to go to Simuflite for the privilige of sitting right seat in a Lear. Florida is also very seasonal as far as 135 goes. May-Sep is dead and most operators will pay you by the day or hour which will kill you when the flying stops.

The best flying jobs will always be where people dont want to live or fly. Northeast, Michigan, Alaska, some butthole town in Iowa, freezing cold weather, IFR. You get the picture. Employers actually have to pay a reasonable wage and train people in order to staff their aircraft.
