I have read many posts of people discussing the logging of Simulator time. However, I am curious what personal problems/issues have occured during anyones interviews. I understand that logging of time is personal preference, and I will log anything I am comfortable discussing at an interview. However, I am curious if any of you have encountered a problem with the way your SIM time was logged, or had the way your SIM time was logged given a green light by an interviewer.

I currently log Level C/D simulator time conducted under a 142 curriculum as total time because it will be used to meet the requirements of an ATP and is required to be logged by the Regs. However, this time may also be logged to meet the requirements of Multi Engine landing currency, and as such, is currently logged as Multi Engine Time.

I have come to the conclusion that logging time serves three major purposes.

1. FAA requirements
2. Employer requirements
3. Insurance requirements

Personally, I keep a second logbook for any "Time" not capable of satisfying any FAA requirements because I would not be comfortable discussing it.
