I bought an hour in an ATR sim before my interview with ASA 5 years ago.. I just called FSI in Houston and they hooked me up with and instructor..and the sim

Well 3 years ago when 1500 hrs was barely enough time to get a call from a regional I spent $140 at Delta Connection Academy in Sanford FL to get 1 hour of their CRJ flight simulator (non motion). It was a good learning experience because I aced the sim part of the interview and got the job at what I thought was a great Atlanta based company. Give them a try...

Wow.....how quickly things have changed! I remember a time, not that long ago by the way, that 1500 hours was barely enough time to get a job as a flight instructor. (I know I'm exagerating a little bit but I think you get my point.)

I believe that a sim at FSI in ATL would run you about $600 an hour - that's a number I heard floating around several years ago. If you use it as an FTD (not on motion) they may do it for a little cheaper.
