well, I dont go on the "heard" thing and dont care about the competition (we use both) .....but I have trained at CAE MMU. Never got so many resumes and job inquiries from a school - ever.

At least 2 of the instructors I had have left (only 1 to a flying job) and one more soon to follow..and thats from one program. When mine showed me his work week and it was 100+hrs I understood why.

Beautiful facility, decent pay for instructing, but probably the lowest morale I have ever seen. They all shared their thoughts on why, but I wont spread that stuff here.

Maybe its growing pains and things will get better? I hope so as my experience (as far as instructors themselves) was pretty good.

All Im saying is shop carefully!

Fair enough, check it out and decide for yourself.

What program did you train in? Gulfstream and S-76 are not like that. I do know the 7X has had issues because no one expected the succes of the program but that's why they are more than doubling the number of instructors. Which was the reason for my post in the first place, to let folks know their are openings.

A lot of good instructors left FSI TEB to go with Simuflight for more money. What happened to them, are they still there?

I am not too keen on moving to MMU or DAL or any of your sim locations.

Is there any talk of setting up a commuter schedual such as Net jets has 7 on 7 off?
I would be willing to work long days/nights just to be able to commute and live where I do.

Pass thaton to your bosses and you will have more then enough applications.

Just having a schedule is hard to come by at a sim facility. If some of you guys do have schedules, (more than a week in advance), i'd like to bring the idea to my company.

We're mostly running a thing they call 5S2 in the Gulfstream programs. I know my days off for the next year. It's not 100% but it's better than 90% accurate. Even with now qualifing on the G450/550 it's still working.

Hey Guy,
I'm recently retired from a G550 position. I'd be interested in working for FSI, but not living around MMU. Tell me if the opportunity for a part-time schedule for instructors would be feasible. I'm available to start tomorrow, but it would be a commute type thing.

We do have part timers but they work on an as needed basis. I don't know how far away you are but I doubt it would work very well.

I think they have filled most open positions but I heard they were expanding the Falcon programs so they may have some still open.
