They used to make one that was worth a sh*t and up to a year ago they could still be found on the internet. It was called the Travelpro Crew (not the crew III or crew IV or whatever else). Very simple and pretty durable. I've been using one for around five years and its still going strong, however, I am not a commuter. What I like about it is that it is light weight. My bag fully loaded weighs about as much as an empty P-N-S bag. If you commute though you should probably look at something a little more industrial strength like the P-N-S bags.

Travel Pro:
Biggest pieces of crap I have ever used, now I'm gonna buy a skybelt for me and my fly girl.

Costco has a good bag, have had mine for about 2 yrs and no problems, plus it has the Costco warentee, if it ever breaks in any way you just take it to them and they give you a new one.

I'll secoind the COSTCO bag. At $89 it's by far the best value. I've had mine for 3 years. After all that time stuck in the cargo bin, it barely shows any wear.

I have used the pretty neat stuff bag for about 2 yaers corporate flying and it's still new and have a friend that has used his for many years in part 121 and it still very usable. They are pricey but I think worth the $$. That's my .02 worth.

You wanna look like a flight attendant?

Get a Purdy Neat Things bag; lasts forever, takes a $hitload of abuse, fits in the overhead or under a 737 jumpseat...

I've had mine since 1999, no problems at all...

ebags.com

I think I got mine through ALPA and it was $79. Life time warentee(sp?) and it fits in the crj overhead if its not too full, also fits in the narrow body jets straight in. (only on one side of the maddogs)
