I just flew out of Boston on the airlines and saw that Signature was back in Boston (BOS). When did this happen? I knew that they traded with Mercury at BED and had not heard anything about them back at BOS!

I didn't know Signature ever left BOS... However I wish they WOULD leave BOS, as this is about one of the worst Signatures on the planet...

I have been in and out of bos for the last 5 yrs ...signature has always been there ...however, the old location was around the corner from the approach end to 4L they gave that up to american eagle and they are now up by the approach end of 15R and i agree the move did not help the service :( though not all can be blamed on signature ...i am still trying to figure out how at some airports we have our bags and bod's searched and at others our pax cars can still come out on the ramp plane side...go figure

I go to DTW instead of DET just because that Signature is such a dungeon ... plus DET is in that God-awful neighborhood. People would rather have the longer ride downtown than deal with all that nonsense! Plus, in the winter, with the whipping winds and snow, having lots of nice long runways makes me happy. Last time I was through DTW (couple years ago) there was a hideous snowstorm going on.

OH MAN - if i rememeber right, DET is seriously in the hood..

all I need is an overnight, find the Falcon gone in the morning...rolling down the road all lowered with shiny rims and big booming bass music coming out of it...

Id surely get fired..:(

I was told that the deal with the security and bag checks is because of Massachussetts (sp) state law. They also require a police presence at all time. I have heard those guy's w/ that duty are pulling in over 100k a year with all the overtime--just for sitting there!

Signature BOS S*cks

I have been there on many occasions and also living in BOS its hard for me to post this, but it's nothing but a head ache. The line people and desk people forgot all about customer service.

The mayor would like to expand City Airport but the residences around the airport keep objecting to the expansion because they feel it will ruin the neighborhood:eek:

I can weigh in on this one....

Formerly based in BOS and prior to that flew out of YIP (Pax & Ambo's to DET) and taught out of DET......

I definitely would favor BOS over DET -- as for a police presence - the DPD keeps their helicopter and has an office on the field.

I don't remember the people at DET, but I thought the employees in BOS were nice. But then again, I'm not from the South and the fabulous treatment I had out of BNA's FBO a few month's ago was unparalled.

DET....BOS...DET....BOS.....trying to decide if one location is worse than the other is much like trying to decide if getting a leg or arm broken on purpose is better. They are both horrible in their own special ways. Granted the chance of a drive by shooting at BOS is remote, but you have to love horrible service followed by a 4 hour ground stop. oops, am I ranting.... they happen to be on my personal top 5 "I wish I didnt have to fly there again" list

Fokker,

Did you see the big news conference about a year or two ago on the neighborhoods complaints about a new runway? One woman who lived in Eastie got up and in a pleading voice complained that her son's first words were "mama, dada and airplane"!!!

I thought, what's so bad about that??!!!:p

It was a joke russ----

Man, I can't begin to say how much I hate Signature.

I'd rather teabag my nuts into a vat of boiling hot oil than give them a dime of my money.

Big D your killing me, I laughed so hard I almost spit out my coffee.
