So when is chq going to merge with SA- or was that just more flame?

How was that "flame"? If you read the threads involving them, I think it's been made clear that nothing has been announced pending the deal being finished... If in fact it DOES get finished. From what I've heard it's pretty much done but just hasn't been announced for reasons that are above everyone's head(s).

And CHQ is not going to merge with SA. SA would be bought by RAH and the PILOTS at SA would be merged into the CHQ list... Not the planes, not the FA's, not the headquarters, etc... Just the pilots.

Nothing is ever 100% but this is about as certain as these things go... Just be patient, and when it explodes here on flightinfo again you'll know it's definitely happening.

The rumored date of the first date that SA starts "officially" flying the 170's is June 1st, if memory serves. I would expect an announcement, if one is coming, within two months or so of that date, which would suggest (using my logic) in the next two weeks.
