$500,000 in work to the building? Is that what a new coat of paint on cinder block costs? Hmmm......we probably got taken on that also!

And thank you for the article, some of us do want to be informed of what's going on in the Ft.

Flash, I'm guessing you didn't see the condition of the FWA hangar after CHQ pulled out. In some areas they had to put up the cinder blocks before they painted them. ;)

The building sat empty for 10 years I think after Air Willy pulled out and CHQ did nothing but fix busted plumbing when they moved in. All of the offices in the MOC/Disp area are new...this area used to be the parts room and was all wide open. Same goes for the tech pubs, training, planning, etc offices. That area used to be the paint, sheet metal, engine, prop shop...again wide open area. The front office area isn't much different, but I suppose new cubicals are pretty 'spensive. ;) Also the parts room in the hangar is new and it's nice to see a new coat of paint on the barn with an actual logo on it. Heck, all but two ramp lights were out...it's pretty nice to be able to see outside at night when we work on our planes.

Hmmm...since IND would love to see CHQ's barn torn down, maybe they'd like to revisit their old refurbished FWA hangout. Be a shame to let it go to NW/Pinnacle. :)
