I have an interview with a Regional soon. I have rescheduled it already once due to a death in the family but I need to reschedule again. Should I reschedule or just go and possibly screw it up and have to wait 3-6 months to reapply? Oh and by the way the name is just a freakin joke....lol

I'd go. I never felt like I studied enough for my interviews and had no problem getting a job. Just don't say your not prepared for the interview. It'll sound like your lifes to complicated to complete training.

Nice avatar.

Depends

If it's a job you would really like to have, GO.
Make the effort to show up and show them you'd like to work there. Passing up a good opportunity a second time may result in YOU getting passed over for a THIRD interview.

If it's not in your top 2-3 airlines to work for, just go and get some interview experience. Try not to laugh at the payscale offered.

Go. For the most life changing interview of my career, I showed up with almost zero preparation. Sometimes you just have to suck it up. The general rule is that you get only one opportunity to reschedule. You're trailing, :10 to go in the 4th quarter, no timeouts, and it's 4th down - Hail Mary.

my only question would be...is there another family emergency? if yes, reschedule...if not, well, you're going to miss alot of "life" things in this business.

Not to go into great detail here but it involves my daughter and legal visitation issue. I don't have the mins but it is a "once u get the mins" you get a class date. Anyone who has gone through something about visitation and the legal system can relate to the presure I'm under. I'm afraid to go in there with that on my mind and screw it up and have to wait 6 months to reapply.....

DO NOT RESCHEDULE..

Grow a set, grab your FAR AIM read it get on aviationinterviews.com read them and go to the interview with confidence in your ablilty as a pilot.... in other words GROW A FREAKING SET and get the job done!

I've thought about this a little longer, and it occurs to me that your life may to be too FUBAR for an airline job at the moment.

It's a possibility.

If it leads to your being unprepared for an interview and then you go in and blow it, so be it. You would have been to frazzled to focus on training, and would have washed anyway.

Prioritize. If you feel the visitation thing is more important, than IT IS!

I can't tell you how much important stuff we've all missed over this job. When push comes to shove, family is the priority. I've always looked at it as though I can support them through other means if I have to.

Regional jobs aren't too hard to come by these days. That may change a bit with the age 65 BS, but there will still be jobs out there. I doubt you'll get a third shot with the company in question. If your interview doesn't conflict with something you must attend in person, I would take it. You can get your mind in the game, and do it quickly. This ain't rocket surgery!

Best of luck!

its not a visitation thing its a court date thing...I am unexpectantly in a legal battle regarding my child. It is a child custody/visitation rights issue, not just visitation that can be resolved to un "fubar" my life....

Court dates are more important that job interviews.....

If you aren't going to go "into too much detail" about what is impeding your interview preparation, how can anyone make suggestions as to whether or not you should go? It has gone from, "should I reschedule" to "it's a court date thing".

Is it because of a court date or is it because you are distracted?

It sounds like your mind is made up as to whether or not you should reschedule. The original question should've been, "will rescheduling again destroy my chances at the job".

That depends on how bad they need you. Right now, my guess is pretty bad. Family comes first, always. Put that at the top of your list. If at the end of the day you still have an interview date, then the pieces fell right into place. Pat yourself on the back.
